ABOUT THE RIVERS

1. RIVER KALI:

The Kali originates from Kalapani close to the Tibet border, and this river make a International boundary between India and Nepal. rafting trip on the Kaliganga or the Mahakali, promises to be a truly memorable experience with great white water action, the lesser inhabited river valley, dense forest, virgin beaches, no road support and no permanent camps. one raft is used to carry the camping gear, the kitchen stores and the kitchen staff. Its very wonderful experience to do rafting on Kali rivers, In the kali, negotiating rapids of up to grade 4. A rafting trip on river Kali promises to be a lifetime memorable white water experience.

2. RIVER SARYU:

Originating from the Namik glacier in the Kumaon Himalayas, the Saryu follows a route as scenic as its origin. Meeting with the Ramganga (east) at Rameshwar, the Saryu flows down to confluence with the Mahakali at Pancheshwar. The average grade of the rafting section is class 2 with the occasional class 3 rapid and is raftable throughout the year except monsoons.

Rafting Itinerary

Pancheshwar to Boom – Tanakpur (60 rkms).
Arrival at camp Netir. (o/n in camp).
Day 01: RAFT – Camp – Pancheshwar – (26 rkms). (o/n in camp – Tamli).
Day 02: RAFT – Tamli to Chooka (22 rkms).(o/n in camp – Chooka).
Day 03: REST DAY – visit village Chooka.(o/n in camp – Chooka).
Day 04: RAFT – Chooka to Boom – Tanakpur (20 rkms). Depart.

KALI RIVER EXPEDITION (5 days): Jhulaghat to Boom, Tanakpur (90 rkms).
Arrival at Pithoragarh. (o/n in hotel / TRC – Pithoragarh)
Day 01: DRIVE – Pithoragarh to Jhulaghat (35 kms). RAFT – Jhulaghat to Pancheshwar (24 rkms).

Day 02: RAFT – Pancheshwar to Tamli camp (26 kms.) (o/n in camp – Tamli).
Day 03: RAFT – Tamli to Chooka (22 rkms). (o/n in camp – Chooka).
Day 04: REST DAY – visit village Chooka. (o/n in camp – Chooka).
Day 05: RAFT – Chooka to Boom – Tanakpur (20 rkms). Depart.
